WIN Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds FRONT ROW TICKETS!

You ever hear of a guy called Nick Cave and his band the Bad Seeds?! Yeah, thought so! I'm sure by now you've heard they're playing at the Shrine Auditorium on July 11th. What's that you say? You'd love to go? Would you also love to sit in the front row?!?! Because holy shit! We've got a pair of front row tickets to give away to a lucky winner! To coincide with the release of their Live From KCRW LP on RSD, we're raffling off these amazing tickets.

This is how it works: 

Between Friday 11/29 and Tuesday, 12/10, anyone that comes into the shop can enter their name in the raffle. If you're the kind of dud (like me) who doesn't win anything, never fear! You can up your chances of winning by buying some records. (That's what you were coming in for anyway, right?) With every $20 you spend at OV, you get an extra raffle ticket. And more good news! If you don't win the front row tickets, we also have 2 pairs of 'normal' tickets to give away as runner up prizes. If you don't want to leave anything up to chance, starting Friday, we'll have tickets for sale for the show as well. We'll be announcing the winner at Record Club on 12/10. So if you're the type of person that likes receiving a certificate in front of a lot of people, you should definitely join us! I (Phew! I've been sitting on that info all week and I'm really glad I could finally tell you!)

We are excited to announce that Origami Vinyl is the exclusive ticket retailer for the Daniel Lanois and Rocco Deluca show presented by our friends, 89.9 KCRW

Daniel Lanois is the famed Canadian record producer and musician who has worked with some of musics most notable figures, such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Brian Eno, and Willie Nelson. Lanois will be performing with close friend Rocco Deluca, a California-based solo artist,  who Lanois believes has: "...something burning in his heart that I could be helpful to. It was that kind of truth in it that I decided to run with...I fully believe in DeLuca. I think that he’s got the power to be a contemporary troubadour."

Origami Vinyl is proudly joining forces with Moon Block Party, Future Eyes, & The Echo to co-present Beyond The Witching Hour in CRYSTAL VISION with  Future Eyes!!! There will be art exhibitions, live music, vendors and food trucks galore. Entertainment from the likes of Peaking Lights, Lumerians, Dahga Bloom, and more is provided as well as a costume contest with sick prizes!

OV is in cahoots with The Echo and KXLU to present FIDLAR at The Echo tonight with Pangea, The Shrine, and Meat Market! There will be LIMITED TICKETS AT THE DOOR. Neil is doshing out high-fives and rotating your favorite records tonight and two things are certain: 1) Expect Neil to knock ya into 1998 with his A-game rotations and 2) a crazzzy time from this line-up! Last but certainly not least, Spaceland, Levitt Pavilion LA, KCRW and OV Present Lost In the Trees at The First Unitarian Church at 7pm tonight. Lost In The Trees just released A Church That Fits Our Needs on Anti so come see what they've got. Special guests Midtown Dickens and Dana Buoy (of Akron/Family) are going to be there too! All ages welcome to this shindig that's sure to include some strings n' things that calm your week's worries.
