TONIGHT: Final Night of So Many Wizards Residency at the Echo

It's the time once again! Origami Vinyl, KXLU, and KSPC present the So Many Wizards residency at The Echo. Tonight is FINAL NIGHT of the series. No more of that "I'll go next week" B-S, tonight is your last chance! And it's going to be a good one. Long Beach based So Many Wizards have made quite a name for themselves recently in the LA music scene. Consisting of members Nima Kazerouni, Erik Felix, Frank Maston, and Geoff Geis, the band plays a style of indie pop that claims influence from 50s and 60s pop music. Having just returned from shows in the UK and at SXSW, the wizards will be playing for free over at the Echo every Monday for the rest of April. That is, if you're over 21 of course... ;)

And lastly... we've got three super awesome bands also playing tonight! They are Moses Campbell (notorious punk folk local band), Body Parts (experimental pop), and Batwings Catwings (quintessentially So-Cal band of party rockers).  Damn,  I'm going to miss this rezzie. It's the time once again! Origami Vinyl, KXLU, and KSPC present the So Many Wizards residency at The Echo. Tonight is night three of the series and features some pretty awesome bands. Long Beach based So Many Wizards have made quite a name for themselves recently in the LA music scene. Consisting of members Nima Kazerouni, Erik Felix, Frank Maston, and Geoff Geis, the band plays a style of indie pop that claims influence from 50s and 60s pop music. Having just returned from shows in the UK and at SXSW, the wizards will be playing for free over at the Echo every Monday for the rest of April. That is, if you're over 21 of course... ;)

Be sure to catch the other groups playing as well! Tonight we have Magick Orchids & Michael Nhat (songs with sounds and noises generated by the electronic instruments. Nhat is a rapper), Jon Barba (Nicole Kidman), and Wildcat! Wildcat! (quality taste, sexy beats, and beautiful thoughtfulness in songwriting). Rad. 9pm tonight. See ya there.

TONIGHT: NO Residency at the Echo Night 4

Unfortunately, like all good things, the NO March Residency has to come to an end. Tonight is the final night! Join us next door at The Echo as we reminisce the good times had at the last three residency shows and jam to the tunes of Echo Park's very own NO. The band put out their 12" on our very own Origami Vinyl record label last month and have since been receiving some rather favorable feedback from all of you fans. They played a whole ton of shows at SXSW a few weeks ago and are headed out on a mini US tour with Races in a few days. Tonight, they're playing with Young Hunting (LA dreampop), Black Flamingo (a group of friends who love to create together), and Raw Geronimo (Jungle-Punk-Soul-Surf-Goth-World-Avant-Pop-WILDNESS). DJ Neil Schield and KXLU DJ Bennett (dats me) will be DJing too. Word! Set times below.

After today there will be only one more show left (:-/). NO put out their 12" on our very own Origami Vinyl record label last month and have since been receiving some rather favorable feedback from all of you fans. They played a whole ton of shows at SXSW last week. They killed it! Tonight, they're playing with Line and Circle (indie/alt), Mwahaha (electro pop), and LA Font (garage rock w/pop influence). Ghost Blood will be DJing too. Set times below.

Get stoked!! Night 2 of the free NO residency going on tonight at the Echo (two doors down). I don't know if you were able to catch the show last week, it was a fun one. TONIGHT will be just as fun. NO put out their 12" on our very own Origami Vinyl record label last month and have since been receiving some rather favorable feedback from all of you fans. They head off to SXSW this week, so be sure to catch them before the Texas weather does (heh heh). They are playing with HOTT MT (thai gaze), The Chances (honeyed harmonies), and Archer Black (moody modern rock). Matthew will be DJing too. Set times below.

Doing anything tonight? Nice. Catch the first show of NO's March residency at The Echo at 9pm! You all know how much we adore these guys. The EP we released a few weeks back has been killing it. In fact we are really close to selling out already and I'm pretty sure once this rezzie is done, we are gonna have to dig in our pockets to issue a 2nd press! Not bad for a band that just formed less than a year ago and only started playing shows in October of last year. Woah! The residency features a different lineup of sweet local bands and DJs every week. Tonight's set times can be seen below...
