She had a long musical relationship with Loren Connors in the late '70's and early 80's that gained her esteemed notoriety. After they stopped collaborating in 1984, Bloom concentrated on raising her children and stopped making music, at least publically. In 1999, she finally released a new album of work titled "Come Here: The Florida Years". In 2009 a tribute album to Kath was made and featured artists such as Devendra Banhart, Bill Callahan, Mark Kozolek, The Dodos, and Scout Niblett doing her songs. Thin Thin Line, her latest record which was released on Mark Kozalek's Caldo Verde label, marks her second album in three years, following 2008’s Terror.
