There's plenty of reasons to love Henry Clay People, but now we have even more of an excuse to thrash and rock out as Origami Vinyl presents their residency at the Satellite starting Mondays in December. Co-presenters Consequence of Sound, Filter, Buzzbands LA, and Moheak Radio will sponsor this event where recording for HCP's new live album will take place, where YOU, the audience, get to help Henry Clay People's sound dazzle and shine. And our very own DJ Neil will be spinnin' some choice vinyl tune-age tonight with the band.
The Henry Clay People December Satellite Takeover will include:
12/3 Neil Scheild, Future Ghosts, the Steel Wells, and the Henry Clay People-FREE
12/10 TS and the Past Haunts, Son of Stan, Free Races-FREE
12/17 DJ Kevin Bronson, the Monolators, Comedy Sets by Sklar Brothers, Matt Braunger, Jonah Ray, and Matt Dwyer-FREE
12/31 New Year's Eve Show w/ Complimentary Champagne Toast-$10
With a sound reminiscent of the Replacements and Pavement, they'll get your fists moving and crowds howlin' for more, so why not attend their elegant New Year's extravaganza?
New Year's festivities include a night filled with HCP playing covers of whatever you want to hear, a complimentary champagne toast, and a fun night that's sure gonna get this band a few winks coming their way. Email your requests to henryclaypeople@gmail.com.
This is gonna be drummer Eric Scott's last tour with the band, so if you don't wanna be moping around like a Debbie Downer, I'd recommend getting your arse moving and getting to their shows. Who knows...maybe they'll just leave you wondering why you ever listened to anything else before.
