Tonight! Catch Echo Park locals, NO, perform an acoustic set in celebration of the vinyl release of the band's EP "Don’t Worry, You’ll Be Here Forever." Founded by Bradley Hanan Carter and Sean Daniel Stentz, the five-piece was created as a response to heartache and the limitations in notions of denial. These overarching themes can be witnessed in the band’s overall style, which has been described as “dark, brooding, and exceptionally romantic.” As a result, NO has adopted the “post-hymnal anthematic” genre to best characterize their distinct yet relatable sound. Often grouped alongside influential indie legends The National, Bill Callahan, and the Arcade Fire, NO displays a sense of originality in a sea of heavy influences. While possessing familiar lyrical stylings reminiscent of Matt Berninger and Richard Hawley, the quintet’s originality in composition proves that influence does not always equal imitation.
The 12" release was put out by none other than your friends here at Origami Vinyl. The album is the fourth release on our record label and we are very proud to support it.
