Hailing originally from Arkansas, but more accurately, a child of the road, James Apollo and his band thrive off of forgotten moments and places, mining dive bars and cheap hotels for every musical moment they're worth. Similarly, James & co. mine classic Americana instruments to create a blend of country and jazz over which James' low croon finds space to breathe and growl. Compelling in both its quieter and louder moments, their 2010 release, 'Til Your Feet Bleed brought the group praise overseas, and with the release of their newest LP Little War, Little Less James and his band have their eyes firmly set on home. We're excited to see what this talented group has up their sleeve and can't wait to share them with you tonight!
Opening for the band will be a solo set by Gabriel Hart from Jail Weddings, whose 2013 album, Meltdown: A Declaration of Unpopular Emotion was voted the #1 record of 2013 by L.A. Weekly. It's gonna be a great night!
