Tony Molina In-Store! OV Presents Moses Sumney @ The Bootleg!
Tonight at 6PM, we have Tony Molina performing in our very own loft! You know him from projects like Dystrophy, Ovens, Lifetime Problems, Caged Animal, and Violent Change - so needless to say, his solo stuff is top notch. Tony Molina's pop and hardcore projects have gained him a variety of fans, and his guitar riffs and lyrics will definitely take you on a melodramatic emotional journey. We're honored to have an artist that displays such variety in his music in our loft tonight. Not only that, but Slumberland will be reissuing the hard to find LP, Dissed and Dismissed, on 2/25 and we've got it before the street date! You better get down to OV quick!
Next up, Origami is super-stoked to be presenting rising L.A singer-songwriter Moses Sumney at the Bootleg Theatre every Monday in March! A UCLA alum, Moses' craft is a intoxicating mix of soul and folk arranged around liquid guitar lines and unique looped arrangements. Popping up as a special guest for many soon-to-be-big bands, Moses has been receiving glowing reviews across the board without a single physical release to his name, and looks to be moving up in the L.A music world. With talent to spare, Moses' residency at the Bootleg is sure to be a breakout success and we look forward to seeing him and you there every Monday this March! "Bob Dylan In The 80s" Tribute Album Premiere Party! Record Club!
Tonight at 7PM, we're gonna be premiering ATO Records' newest tribute compilation Bob Dylan In The 80s: Volume One a week before it hits stores!
Now we know "Dylan in the 80s" might be the best way to elicit cringes from Dylan fans, but for some Dylan-ites, the singer-songwriter's flirtation with new styles in his "lost" decade represent a hotbed of forgotten gems. Headed by producers Jesse Lauter (Elvis Perkins, The Low Anthem) and Sean O’Brien (Dawes, PAPA), Bob Dylan In The 80s: Volume One features covers by a wide range of alt stars including Built To Spill, Aaron Freeman of Ween, Glen Hansard, Reggie Watts, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and more! This newest compilation from ATO is sure to open a new page in Dylan lore and we couldn't be more excited to play it for you a week before its release!
Afterwards, why not head on over to El Prado for another weekly dose of Record Club? In celebration of Dylan, we'll be playing some of our favorite tracks and would love to hear yours too! It's gonna be a great evening and we really hope to see you there!

Son of the Velvet Rat In-Store!
OV is very excited to have Son Of The Velvet Rat perform in our loft tonight at 7PM! This talented group masters the art of Eurpoean folk music that captivates listeners with poetic lyrics. Their dark-European folk music has a beautiful cathartic feel that is especially exemplified in their new album, Firedancer. Recent transplants to the L.A music scene, we're super excited both to have them in our store and welcome them to L.A!

Coldair In-Store!
Tonight at 7PM we've got Poland's very own Coldair performing in our loft! Centered on the work of multi-instrumentalist Tobiasz Biliński, Coldair features an eclectic mix of inspirations that range from ambient computer soundscapes to large scale brass orchestras. Bringing all of these elements together in a art-pop form, Coldair is both eminenantly listenable and thoroughly experimental. As part of his new U.S tour, Coldair will be stopping by our loft tonight and we absolutely stoked to see what magic he'll bring to the stage.

Seahaven In-Store!
Tonight at 5PM, Torrance locals Seahaven will be filling our loft with their subtle combination of emo, indie and post-punk sounds! On their newest album Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism, Seahaven brings together their trademark sound with warm, beach-y reverb vibes perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Stopping by our little shop to sing your cares away, Seahaven's carefree pop sound gets started at 5PM. So come join us as we drift off to musical nirvana!
