We are pleased to co-present an exclusive Los Angeles event in honor of Scott Walker's upcoming album, Bish Bosch with our friends at 4AD on Thursday, November 15th. We will be playing Bish Bosch in its entirety, which will be released to the public via 4AD on December 4th. The album preview will be preceded by an introductory talk by none other than Stephen Kijak, renown director of the 2006 award-winning documentary, Scott Walker: 30 Century Man. This event will take place in a beautiful Schindler Mansion in the hills of Echo Park, which was custom built for a piano teacher in 1938. Its plywood construction will create the perfect reverberant hall for Walker's dark arrangements. Beer will be provided throughout the night courtesy of Golden Road Brewing.
This is a very intimate, invite-only event that's not open to the public, but we are reserving 3 spots (with +1 for each spot) so some of you die hards can be a part of this very special night. To take part, compose an e-mail incorporating at least 3 lines from your favorite Scott Walker tunes into an explanation of what makes you love Scott Walker and why you should win spots on the list (about a paragraph long). Be creative and be passionate! Send all entries to HighFive@origamiorigami.com. You have until Monday, November 12th at 12PM to send us your entries. We look forward to reading these!
In the meantime, check out Walker's latest video for "Epizootics!" from Bish Bosch for some inspiration:
