It's been a whirlwind of a month here at OV, but we're ending strong with Places We Slept in-store tonight at 7pm!This three man band from Omaha sits somewhere between hard punk and indie pop; up-beat and gritty. Their recently released album peeled. ventures between these two categories, using the lighter sounds to convey harder, sometimes rebellious lyrics. One such song, "Sewage Bay Atlantic," is about disappointment and its humor.
“We parked in this Walgreens parking lot and we walk a mile or so. She (a booking agent) just presents this big hole of water as the Atlantic Ocean and is like, ‘Here you go!’” Said Places We Slept bassist J.D. Brokenrope. Thus, "Sewage Bay Atlantic" and its music video were born from the humor and disappointment of that moment.
