We've got Speedy Ortiz in our loft to rock tonight at 7pm!This four-piece self-proclaimed "snack rock" band follows in the abrasive independent rock n' roll tradition, heavily influenced by the 90s music scene. Frontwoman and songwriter Dupis weaves together emotional, empowering, and wry narratives, which make up the essence of Speedy Ortiz. The band recently released their debut LP Major Arcana on Carpark, which was rated Best New Music by PitchFork with them saying, "Even at its most distortion-caked, there’s a melodic confidence and a gimlet-eyed clarity about Major Arcana that’s a rare find in a debut."
