Tonight we have My Hawaii performing in our loft at 7PM!
While their name might lead you to think this quintet is just a front for Hawaii's tourism board, they're actually one of Los Angeles' brightest local bands, mixing 60s orchestral pop and the twee-er
(Twee-r? Tweeer?) end of folk, calling to mind Kishi Bashi's solo projects or early Boy Least Likely To. Hailing from Atwater Village, My Hawaii has been around since 2009, but claims they were having too much fun performing music to actually record any of it. Thankfully for us, they took some time to put their rhythms to tape and released Definition of Friends earlier this year. Now touring in support of that album, they will performing in our loft tonight at 7PM!
So put on your biggest smile and come on down to Origami tonight at 7PM for a night of good music! If you need practice, give a listen to their single "Fingers Numb" below! Oh and please let us know how to properly write twee-er. We're very lost on this one.
