When you hear that Dent May used to cover 311 and Creed songs (when he was 13--relax bro, we all have a past) you might be a little hesitant to give Dent May a listen--but do not be fooled my bb's, you definitely want to give this a listen. With a three semester stint at NYU Film School, Dent moved back to Mississippi and started his musical endeavours; He was signed to Animal Collective's label Paw Tracks in 2009 where we saw the release of his debut LP, The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele. Flash forward to 2012, Dent May is releasing his new album Do Things on June 12 and we are having a listening party on Monday June 11 so you can listen to the album in it's entirety before it's official release! Obvs, of course we will also have the essentials: pizza, cold drinks, and awesome giveaways! Going way beyond a ukulele, Dent May describes Do Things as "Pet Sounds for the Smirnoff Ice generation" and "a wedding reception band on acid." I'm sold, sign me up! Let's DO THINGS on Monday night at 7pm.
