TONIGHT: The Lord Dog Bird + 3 Moons @ 7PM!

Tonight we have a very special double bill at Origami: The Lord Dog Bird & 3 Moons performing in our loft at 7PM!

The first of the duo, 3 Moons, has worked his way across the U.S over in what he calls "... an endless frenzied derelict trance," for the majority of his lifetime and career. Along they way, he has worked with countless bands like The I Don't Do Gentlemen and The Sperm, bringing his experimental folk/psych edge to each of those projects. Touring in support of his new album Snake From Blood To Sky, 3 Moons will be providing us with a significantly trippy journey into his mind up in our loft right at 7! Give a listen to his track "Snake From Blood to Sky VII" below.

The second half our set will feature the lo-fi folk of The Lord Dog Bird, the side project of Wilderness guitarist Colin McCann. Created in the aftermath of Wilderness' hiatus in 2007, his self-titled album in 2008 acted as a record of his time with Wilderness and the internal turmoil born from the trials of life on the road. Recorded on an old 4-track, its lo-fi production and intensely honest lyrics brought forth comparisons to Bon Iver and Iron & Wine. Never satisfied with one sound, his new release The Trinity Knot looks to be another departure to more droning landscapes that add a entirely new layer to his already mesmerizing music. Give a listen to two tracks from his new album over at his homepage and we'll see you tonight at 7PM!
