Tonight we have Moon Honey performing in our loft at 7PM!
We love it when something different comes through our shop. And despite the somewhat traditional pieces of Moon Honey, their sound is definitely not. Melding psychedelic hooks, prog-rock progressions and lead singer Jessica Ramsey's unique voice, Moon Honey sounds like Joanna Newsom fronting the proggier elements of The Crane Wife, with unique instrumentation and compositional left-turns at ever corner. It's enchanting and challenging stuff. Their newest self-released album, Hand Painted Dream Photographs, looks to push the boundaries of the music further, taking inspiration from the dream worlds of Dali, Kahlo, and more. We're excited to see the results and hope you can join us tonight at 7PM for a glimpse into Moon Honey's intoxicating musical world.
To get you prepared, give a listen to Hand Painted Dream Photographs' single "Self-Portrait Beneath Woman's Mask" below and we'll see you tonight at 7!
